About

PsychoAfter years of clenching our fists watching the same stereotypical crime, horror and thriller films being churned out in the UK film market Champagne Charlie Productions was formed in 2014 by Dev Shanmugam, Matthew J Gunn and Topher Cox to develop feature film and TV concepts the old school way.

Taking inspiration from great directors and writers like Hitchcock, Peckinpah, Melville, Kurosawa and Paul Schrader. From brutal revenge films of the ’70s era, to the all round late night entertainment of 80’s horror, to the classic psychological noir of the ’50s and ’60s we aim to return film to it’s entertaining and artistic roots.

So I picked a guy I thought you’d like.

‘We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.’- American History X

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now, if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. ” Rocky Balboa
